Hello!

I've just installed Snow Leopard WWDC build on my MacBook and I have great Wi-Fi problems. It just doesn't work. I mean, Wi-Fi shows up correctly, it connects to my network, but the internet itself doesn't work.

I've changed my Airport Express config, did all kinds of restarts, and it doesn't work. However, my iPhone and Dell are successfully connected via this network.

Any suggestions? Have anyone else experienced such a problem?

Thanks.

I have the same problem. Resetting the router did nothing to fix it.

I have the same problem on my iMac. The WiFi connection just kills the d-link router, only router restart solves the issue. I tried with fresh install - didn't help.

Hello! I have the same problem here on my MacBookPro 15" Unibody 2009: although wifi connects and is being given an ip no Internet + kills my router. I can't even connect to the routers admin settings while I'm booted in SL.

Actually I'm glad to see that this problem is not isolated, I was searching documentation about this issue for over 2 weeks with no success before I found your posts. Also I'm beginning to be very skeptical with this issue being fixed by Apple by the time Snow Leopard reaches the stores since the problem persists on build 10A432 which is said to be the GM (well I hope this is not the GM). Yet I just can't imagine thousands (millions?) of Apple machines not being able to connect wirelessly to the net for the launch of SL! But in the past there was always problems with first releases of OS X

Have you guys tried to use kernel extensions from leopard? I know this is probably not a good idea since there is no k64 for airport on leopard...just wondering.

10a321 is NOT the GM, I am using 10a432. 10a321 is 121 days older than the one that I am using. 10a432 is a couple weeks old as well.

My mistake, I typed the false build number, updated my latest post. I can assure it definitely was 10A432 since the new snow leopard install icon was there...

I hope that 10a432 is not the GM either, i get many more console errors for VMWare Fusion, and Kodak AIO drivers (even after an uninstall of Kodak.) than I did with the previous version 10a421

I've had exactly the same problem when I installed the 10A432 today. After some poking around, I found out that the installer changed the DNS settings () and after I fixed that everything worked normally. Check your DNS entries and see if they are correct.

That makes me even more certain that this is the Gold Master. Apple never releases a new major iteration of OSX without a goodly helping of bugs.

I get the wireless dropouts on my MBP SR, too. But it is intermittent. Yesterday it would not connect for more than a minute before dying. Today, it has been solid. My DNS settings have been the same throughout and are correct. Earlier versions of SL were the same, but 432 is by far the worst so far. It is like installing Leopard 10.5.1 all over again.

Hello Vlad_M!

Could you be so nice and describe a little more in detail what you did? I was so enthousiastic when I read your post but then I checked my DNS settings in Network preferences both in Leopard and SL and they are the same…Is there any place else like to check like in a hidden config file?

Thanks

hey guys... I´m new here, but I´ve found an easy solution, just remove the airport service and then create it again and it will work... the problem is that sometimes the actualization corrupts some airport configuration files...

Despite trying all the 'fixes' deleting locations reordering services etc. nothing worked

The I changed the encryption from wpa2 personal to wpa personal
