bigjohnjr Posted May 4, 2006 Share Posted May 4, 2006 Well I finally did it, I went to the local Apple store and pick a Mac Mini. I got a core duo with 1 gig of ram and 100 gig hd. WOW, after playing with osx86 on my compaq for a few months I got a real Mac. I love the speed of tiger and how stable it is. I had alot of beach balls running osx86 on my old compaq computer and some other problems. I installed boot camp and now dual boot it. Windows is also very fast. I am going to play with parrells next and see how that goes. I would have never thought about buying a mac if is was not for osx86 being available for my compaq. After a few weeks playing with it made me want to get a mac. I have been a windows user for years, going back to 3.1 I do have 4 programs that I use often that are not out for the mac. My GPS software (garmin), alltunes, Clonedvd - anydvd, photo efl and hanes tshirt maker (for the kids). I am like a kid with a new toy, I love my MAC. It is funny to see the compaq and the mac mini sit side by side, the compaq is so big and noisy and the mac is so small and quite and yet the mini is so much faster. got to go.
