pu� fare una specifica guida per aggiornare il nostro bios nella rom con il G31M-S

Non mi piace rovinare il bios

Posso ancora utilizzare Widnows con l'aggiornamento del BIOS?
esque ho 2 hard disk, uno con Windows e l'altro è quello di installare macintosh

Hola amigo.

Ti servono:

1) Il file del BIOS dalla guida

2) il programma Afuwin.exe se aggirni con windows; il file afudos.exe se aggiorni da DOS (devi avere il floppy); li puoi scaricare dal sito Asrock, sono contenuti nei file ufficiali del BIOS.


A) aggiornamento da Windows: fai partire Afuwin.exe poi segui le istruzioni a video

aggiornamento da DOS: crei un floppy avviabile con windows, copi afudos.exe e il file del bios (rinominalo nuovo.bin), avvii da floppy e al prompt dei comadi digiti:

afudos nuovo.bin  <return>  poi segui le istruzioni a vide.

Puoi usare tranquillamente windows.

Che cosa devo fare con i file che accompagnano "afuwin.exe" UCORESYS.SYS, UCOREVXD.VXD e UCOREW64.SYS?

Quali file dovrebbe essere proprio accanto al afuwin.exe?

È possibile effettuare una cartella con tutto il necessario per il G31M-S per Windows?

Non so come installare un "rom"

make a Folder with Afuwin.exe UCORESYS.SYS UCOREVXD.VXD e UCOREW64.SYS and the BIOS file, start afuwin.exe and then follow the instructions.

ok, if the aim is to update the bios to the latest version, my "bios" is newly updated

I'm using "DVD iatkos 5i"
Can be the reason for the constant reboot?

You MUST flash the bios with the modified 1.30 version in the first Post.
Without this BIOS you can't install Leopard

Have You read the guide?

Ciao giorgio, complimenti per la guida, ma ho delle cose da domandarti. Al di fuori di quello che mi interessa per lo scopo, come sei arrivato a conclusione di quei parametri per il bios??.
cmq, io ho seguito alla lettera la tua configurazione, flashato bios e installato ideneb.
Ma nel momento in cui vado a fare il riavvio, con -v -f escono un sacco di stringhe su schermo, dopo dichè parte la musica della presentazione di leopard e si pianta con le scritte su schermo nero.
La mia scheda video è una ati radeon x1900 256 mb pci-e
ora provo ad installare di nuovo senza mettere i kext della scheda video. vi tengo aggiornati, e mi auguro che qualkuno mi risponda.

Il tuo problema è dato dalla scheda video, quindi non c'entra col problema del Topic. Prova ad installare non scegliendo nulla per la scheda video, altrimenti devi o avviare con -x o cancellare ATIRadeonX1000.kext. Ma ti ripeto siamo off topic, apri un Topic nella sezione generale.

I settaggi del BIOS li ho ottenuti come sempre provando e con molta pazienza.

@raegten. in my opinion is a problem of Video card.

Post an image of the screen.

Try to dont't select anything for Video during installation. If don't works try to delete AtiRadeonX200.kext and ATIRadeonX1000.kext.

(But this is off Topic)

If you have windows on the same PC install macdrive and delete from windows the two kexts.

If you don't have windows start leopard with  -s  flag and at the prompt type:

mount -uw / <return>

cd /System/Library/Extensions  <return>

rm -rf ATIRadeonX1000.kext  <return>

rm -rf ATIRadeonX2000.kext  <return>

reboot  <return>

the commands are case sensitive and the spaces are importants.

The commands are for >leopard in Single Mode User  (starting with -s flag activate Single User Mode)

From Windows you must install Macdrive and delete the two kexts in /System/Library/Extensions of leopard partition.

Macdrive is an utility that allows to modify files in a leopard partition from windows.

I managed to delete those two files from windows with MacDrive
but as if I had not done anything. the same error persists.

if you start macintosh: apple logo frozen.
mac if you boot with -v -s -f -x: black screen with text ...
