Do not post Kext's from Mac OS as it violates the DMCA.

This version is the 1.6 from Open Darwin (the latest OS-X 10.4.5 is the 1.8)

So here the source again and the compiled version.

Don't forget to update the permission before reboot

Ok 0uch!p0tat0, my first message was not so clear, but be sure that i respect this f***ing DMCA if i post something here related to code or source it will be from Open Darwin or from myself...

I followed this:

boot into osx, extract the zip and copy the folder to /System/Library/Extensions
then
chmod -R 755 some.extension.kext
chown -R root:wheel some.extension.kext

then one of the following.
1) kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions
then, Reboot
2) kextload some.extension.kext

Both *Should* work.
Plus, all of this information could have been found in this forum, please try to search for it next time.
Cheers
Dre

Dammit, it's still giving me the same stupid IOPCCardBridge Start Failed error. :)

Is it nessesary to have the 10.4.4 version? I think I need the 1.8 version (1.9 is the one from 10.4.5)

Damn, I didn't check the version of the IOPCIFamily.kext before I copied it over. It could have been the version thats supposed to work for me, but it still doesn't.

Use Pacifist (easy to find on web) on your OS-X install to extract what you want...

Is there a way of just deleting the kext used for PCMCIA slots? I really don't care if my card slot doesn't work I just want to boot it up on my hardware and not just in VMWare?

I've messed up with IOPCIFamily.kext from the 10.6.4 release of SL and lost it!
Can someone please send me the original kext via private email please?
Please I'm just a step from making my system work I don't want to reinstall everything! /CRY/

Thanks,
Chakkra
