  1. Thanks guys,,,,, Ican definitely go with this info as given... I'll come back and let you all know .... Just wondering will this joder booting a parallell OS like High Sierra if booting from the same EFI? Could be an issue????,,,
  2. Good point but I assumed given the screenshot it would be perfectly clear... I cannot install Catalina DP anything.... I am using an updated succesfull install EFI image I used to succedfully install Mojave I am met with this screen early in verbose mode,,,, and the last line whjere the install fails no matter what I do in bios or in clover! - Objective: To be able to successfully install Catalina DP anything! (PS its on the Rog Strix Build / ATI RX 580) Thanks
  3. I'm using clover which I used to install Mojave succesfully and have updated Lilu, FakeSMC, WhateverGreen etc,,, No matter what I try - and I have tried a whole lot.... I keep getting this more than anything... Can anyone please help here with a solution or troubleshoot as I simply cannot figure this out, I have tried various post clover EFI folder solutions and config files too but nothing works here at all,,, even in bios I've tried multimonitor set up etc,,, Thanks in advice (ance)! The message harps on about APFS filesystem so I cheched and recheckef teh UEFI Drivers folder and even installed the drivers when absent... on reboot - no difference at all!
  4. IS THERE STILL HELP AVAILABLE IN THESE FORUMS? Apologies for being so direct but this is the third cry for help in a row I have raised and not a single reply after several days! As a result of the others I decided to downgrade from Mojave as help was simply not there! On HS I have it almost perfect... no phantom reboots or any of that just this One sleep issue! I've provided the log file and clover/dsdt etc. Not sufre what more I can do....
  5. Hi, The problem I have is that I lost my original Clover backups for my second machine Gigabyte/Haswell in a HD bonfire! I have been able to rebuilt it and get the machine running 99% - the 1% being the sleep issue: Please can someone help with this,,, btw (Amphetamine is inactive when putting machine to sleep---) pmset log.txt CLOVER.zip
  6. Hi again... Sorry for the delay in getting this but here the machine rebooted itself randomly in the night this time leaving a decent amount of time inactive which allowed me to eaily spot the timestamp in Console... This is obviously still an issue and I really don'y know what is caousingit or how to go about fixing it.... Help would be much appreciated. 7. I thought it evident from the post that this issue had been occurring for months... The Machine has only been OC'd for about w2 weeks,,,, ie . continues to reboot regardless of OC or not. It doesn't actually KP either in the normal sense... simply reboots. I could not find anything like a KP in the console log..... cannot remember what I need to do in Clover... Good suggestion that maybe... but what do I need to do?
  8. Hi folks, I have been trying to troubleshoot an issue I've been having with my build and Mojave for the past 3 or 4 months. Since upgrading to Mojave (from about DP3 on) I have been getting extremely random crashes/restarts - maybe about once a week. I have not been able to figure out what is causing them - sometimes the machine is simply idle on the desktop and just decides to restart itself. At other times I may be rendering a fractal or watching a movie on Popcorn Time for example. I tried checking the Console Logs but couldn't see what killed it (not saying there's not something there - just that I didn't see what might be the cause) There is no issue with overheating - I recently bought a Water Cooler and am now running at 4.7 Ghz. Temps are monitored in iStatMenus and Intel Power Gadget and are around 40 on average - so overheating not the issue Please can someone help troubleshoot this issue and possibly help me find and fix the problem. Not sure if it's clover related but again doubt it given that the system is otherwise stable and behaves itself. Thanks in advance!
  9. Never even occurred to me but that too is an excellent hack.... I've gone with the first post solution for now but may still go back in and edit the Ports file.... I used Rehabman's SDT-UIAC-ALL.aml Ports hack to configure USB3 external drives etc so I daresay that can be edited
  10. Great post! I believe there are issues with this too on Windows but this approach makes perfect sense!
  11. I solved it. It was an update from one of the Public Betas that Scuppered my build!... I hadn't realised but the image I was using was still set to receive beta updates and somehow it managed to add a pre-release update to a post GM release the Solution was to copy over the image again and disable beta updates before updating! As Bowie Said... "Hunky Dory" now!
  12. A working driver for build 15G21007 please I re-installed El Capitan yesterday and updated it and found that I didn't have an installable set of web drivers for my GT 240 so hacked the f13 to get it to install. On reboot I find the driver is "not compatible" so I hacked the f14 version likewise replacing the build number in the installer,,,, SAME Result! No updates available either.... I am not sure when the latest security patch for El Capitan was released but if HIgh SIerra history is anything to go by a working Web driver is usually available within 24 hours of the patch If anyone has anm update on this or a workaround please share
  13. I am marking this solved as I have now been able to boot for a week or two with no problems at all! Today I backed up with CCC - downloaded and installed Onyx. I forgot to disable disk checking using automation,,,, Onyx Locked up forcing a hard reset. On reboot I ran Onyx again... this time I disabled disk checking altogether and ran automation with defaults... On reboot straight to the No Entry HID Shim issue once again Conclusion - Onyx is killing my High Sierra Installation... It's gone now and I should manage okay with MacPilot which does not kill it!
  14. I am not sure if this is Solved yet still,,,, I refreshed my bios with the new beta bios from Gigabyte for my board (10c) and reset my options - making sure Igfx was well and truly disabled in the bios.... I got 4 days from it without a crash (A Record!!!) and then ran Onyx and Mac Pilot on it!!! DEATH! I restored from a backup I'd managed to take in those 4 days.... Ran Onyx on it only... DEATH!!!! Restored again... deleted Onyx and ran Macpilot only,,,, but without the dyld Shared Cache option kext caches and have so far rebooted around 4 times in 2 days... still fine,,, If this is what's been going on here,,, it seems that either cleaning System Caches of dyld is Murder for HS!!! - Not sure if anyone can back me up on this and had similar!!! I'm not marking this thread solved just yet because every time I'm happy with it - it dies on the next reboot!!!
