Hi all,

I'm having some small issues with my motherboard, MSI X58 Pro-E, and I'd like to fix them through DSDT patching. Anyone know the proper way to patch my mobo?

The issues I have are:

 • Sound, the soundcard is detected but I can't hear anything.
 • Reboot, when I turn off the system, it reboots. I tryed with EvoReboot but no luck.
 • Sleep, my system can sleep but it doesn't wake up.

Many thanks in advance.

How can I solve it?? :(

Enable HPET in bios setup

Thanks a lot, now it works, but sound does not, and if I press sleep, the system shuts down. I am using the last version of HDAEnabler889 from #####.

And another question, every few minutes, the light of the dvd device turns on, like it was looking for something on the device, is this normal?

Hello, now I have installed the SL 10.6.3 retail version, updated to 10.6.8, and "the problem" persists, when I press on sleep, the system turns off. sad.gif

Should I need to use sleepenabler?

Use NULLCPU and SleepEnabler

Try it

Hello, it's me again. I have another problem but I don't know if it's related with my dsdt or not.

I have updated to Lion 10.7.1, and when I was testing some benchmarks, I have figured out that geekbench only detects me 1 core and 1 thread, and 0 cores and 0 threads with cinebench.

Do you know what could be the problem?

Thanks. :(

this has nothing to do with DSDT

nothing has changed about it

Hello, I have resolved my problem. I had cpus=1 on my com.apple.Boot.plist, I have removed it and all works fine, even the sleep function, but I still have the sound problem on Lion. :)

Hello again, MaLd0n, I'd like to ask you if you know how to insert the pin configuration of the soundcard of my motherboard into the dsdt file, and the HDEF section for the ALC889 codec, is it possible to do so?

Thanks.

Hello again, I have upgraded my computer with 6Gb more of memory and I think I need a new DSDT because everytime I log on Lion I get a message saying that all the memory modules are in the right place.

Anybody could help me with this, please?
