ergosteur Posted May 15, 2009 Share Posted May 15, 2009 So i just updated my P5W DH to 10.5.7. The process was pretty smooth, the only fix I made was reinstalling my modded AppleHDA.kext for ALC882. I just noticed however that my USB PCI card is no longer detected. Also, System profiler reports No firewire ports detected, and my DV camera doesn't work anymore. I have a USB+Firewire PCI combo card (VIA) and onboard Firewire (TI). Has anyone else encountered this issue? I did as you suggested and it bricked my hackintosh, both with the IOPCIFamily which I found elsewhere and the IOPCMCIAFamily which I found under the provided link. Luckily, I managed to restore it by deleting the newly added kext... Can anyone help?
