zhunterzz Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 On my Sony VGN-NR220E I have installed iATKOS v5i and installed with these settings: Main system Netkas PCEFI V9 Appledecrypter smbiosenabler disabler Voodoo kernel remove powermanagement ps/2 OHR Remove thermal kexts intelSATA INTEL AHCI sata graphics update Laptop battery Once I installedl, I boot with -s Then write: /sbin/mount -uw / rm -R /system/library/extensions/AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext Exit Then I go in -x safe boot and install the following: Natit.kext AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin AppleIntelGMAX3100GLDriver.bundle AppleIntelGMAX3100VADriver.bundle after I do so and then make SwitchresX set to my 1280x800 res I repair permissions and reboot. After reboot it comes up into OS X normally with the correct res but for some reason the screen flickers I don't know why. any ideas? and I know someone said something about the kexts above and making sure they match your hardware IDs. All my kext IntelGMAX3100* version 1.5.36 but 3100FB is 1.5.18 - the only working for me. I mean, without the appleintelgmax3100fb.kext and the appleintelgmax3100.kext I can boot up fine, but the res is 1024x768. I wanna get my native res. is that what you have? Thanks for your advice. The same worked for my Acer 7720. QE + CI and native resolution. Ideneb 10.5.6. Any idea how to fix the newer 3100FB? It would save a lot of confusion.
