Crash4419
I have the same Mobo & I even tried updating to the latest BIOS. No Luck. UPDATE: Re:Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P ( From: digital_dreamer ) Are you using the "busratio=20" kernel flag during that boot? Any Core i7 platform running the Voodoo kernel needs that flag, otherwise it will reboot immediately. Just type that flag (without the quotes) at the prompt. regards, MAJ THANKYOU! ZoroLives
thanks! I managed to install iPC 10.5.6 on my i7 and it runs wonderful! i can oc the cpu to 3,4 ghz without increase the vcore. Please look for kext files to the EX58-UD5 Thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=149505 I hope this thread is still active? I decided to order the UD4P Mobo. My first build. I can see there is much on the UD5. I was wondering if others using the UD4P can share which .kext if any they had to modify from the standard UD5 files posted here in this site and Guides? Or do all the instructions for the UD5 work perfectly with the UD4P? Any other problems you are finding beyond what is sometimes found with the UD5? Much thanks. joeblough
Hello cryonix, Could you share what options on iPC you chose for installation. and what kexts or packages you have to run after installation ?Thanks . onj88 i just built one of these and for laughs i used digital_dreamer's script for the UD5, then installed chameleon 2.0RC1 and put in efi strings for my 8600GT and ethernet. i havent tested the ethernet yet. also it won't wake from sleep, so i have to debug that. anyone have sleep working on one of these? i have to back out all the kexts from digtal_dreamer's script one by one to see what's going wrong...
