patrykens
Can Somebody tell me what is the difference between all the available kernels in Kalyway 10.5.2 ?? Which one boots by default ? I Noticed that when I boot with vanillakernel my cputemps are better measured (I think) One more thing ... I've got P5W DH-Deluxe and I have trouble overclocking my CPU (at bios I have 15% oc but 20% crashes my mac). I consider this to be a little low oc ... from 2,33 to 2,68 only What Can I do in order to OC further ?? goebish
Hi, by default the Kalyway 10.5.2 setup installed the sleepkernel on my comp. What is the software needed to measure temps on a hackintosh ? About your OC issue, is it stable under Windows or another OS ? Maybe you need to slightly increase VCore or something else (set another FSB strap to not OC your RAM too much for example). My rig is OCed from 3.16 to 3.8GHz (400x9.5 FSB/RAM : 1/1) without any problem (24/7 usage). insomnimac
I'm an OSX noob but can't find any decent overtclock checking tools for osx. In windows its easy to get temp settings and check for stability etc. I'd raise your cpu voltage as has been said and make sure you're not overclocking your ram too much. patrykens
I use "Temperature Monitor" I have little OC knowledge, I use only BIOS's automatic settings for 15% OC (higher one -20% does not work) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/99706-kernel-difference-and-oc/#findComment-712633 Share on other sites
