ruolez
Hey everyone, I have a stupid problem, maybe because I am stupid. I got a Dell Latitude D600 Laptop with Intel Pentuim M 1.4 Ghz I got MacOS X on there with the tiger-x86-flac.img (using native install) Also I used a 0.4 Maxxus Patch (worked great) by burning the ISO in windows. My Wireless or Wired Lan does not work, so how can I get any applications on my Laptop? I have a USB Flash drive but windows and MacOS use different filesystems so I cant use it. Is there any way I could install anything or transfer any files onto my MacOS laptop or do I need to get the Network working first? Thanks for all the help! Proteo
You should be able to transfer your files using your USB flash disk, both from windows to osx and viceversa no matter what file system is using your flash disk. Have you tried it?
Far.Right
MacOS has been able to read FAT for a while, so I always formatted my USB Flash Drives with that and had no problem going from windows to mac and back (just remember to properly eject on both systems or the corruption goblin will eventually get you). With the Tiger update, word is OS X can deal with NTFS. This was confirmed by my native TIger OSx86 install reading my [windows install] SATA NTFS disks and partitions just fine. Unless you need large file size support (which shouldn't be an issue since contemporary usb flash drives are so small), just format with FAT, and you should be able to go back and forth just fine.
