mercet Posted April 16, 2008 Share Posted April 16, 2008 According to PC wizard i have a Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller. I installed kalyway 10.5.2 and i kept the checks default for installation regarding the ethernet. I booted up after install and internet did not work with DHCP mode, so i went to DHCP manual mode and typed in my local ip, i set it to 192.168.1.103 and boom it worked, my dns and host auto filled in. I even restarted a few times and it worked each time. I go to play WoW and an hour later it stops working. I try resetting my modem, but that didnt do anything(interent still worked on other computers) so i restarted my computer. Everything worked again and it still had my info saved. THen an hour later it does it again. I noticed tho i left my computer on overnight and the internet still worked, its just after an hour straight I guess, and sometimes its even less. I dont know what kext I have installed as i didnt need to add on anything post installation. I can deal with this issue by restarting, but if anyone can point me in the right direction to get rid of the annoyance, that would be great Thanks.
