slackintosh
I have managed to get a T60 running with Kalyway 10.5.2. X1400 ATI Video, Intel 3945 wireless a no-go. Working: T60 Dual booting with XP using the chain0 in the boot.ini x1400 video- works fine as is with no kexts- changed resolution in boot.apple.plist to full 1400X1050 glory. sound works 100% USB, trackpad, and external mouse (must be in when booting) all working internal intel wireless a no-go. Using Belkin f5d7050 v4001 - works GREAT. Using Zydas drivers and tool. 802.1x not working. INTERNAL Sierra wireless WWAN card is WORKING! Typing on it now. Loaded Sierra Watcher, then added my productID number to the sierra kexts. You must use it like a dial up w/ phone number as *99#, etc using the native apple device setup..... Siearra watcher proggie not needed (but don't uninstall it!!) standby doesn't work 100%- goes into low power mode but screen stays on. power management works, but I don't think speedstep does. I can see battery levels and change options, but not sure of the difference. Thanks to everybody in this forum for the help and great posts. I will go back and dig up the links for some of these downloads over the next day or so in case somebody doesn't feel like doing a search. BeefStu
Sound worked for my T60 on first boot as well. However, I'm new to this and not sure what you mean by "x1400 video- works fine as is with no kexts". After editing boot.apple.plist and ATIRadeonX1000.kext I get this in Profiler: Display: Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 128 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x7145 Revision ID: 0x0000 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1400 x 1050 [*** I specified 1680x1050 for my WSXGA+ screen, but not working] Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Hardware Accelerated Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported But before editing I had Core Image = Software and QE = Not Supported. Is that pretty much the same as you? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/99546-lenovo-t60-kalyway-1052-success/#findComment-718956 Share on other sites
Coda
Guys. Be aware that there are different versions of the T60 out there, and you may not be talking about the same machines! For instance. My T60 is core solo, Atheros Wifi, GMA950 1400x1050 screen. I have seen T60's with Core 2 duo, Intel wifi, and intel X3100 or other gfx cards. I work in IBM so I get to see a lot of thinkpads ;-) The type number on the bottom is the important number. Mine is type 1951. BTW - My T60 works great with Kalyway 10.5.1, I only had to edit 2 plists. One for the battery meter, and one for the wifi. It seems to be OK with 10.5.2 also (I had to reapply the plist edits), but I haven't installed the gfx update yet. Gonna take a backup first... macandpc
For the Fingerprint scanner, I used Protector Suite. Its made by Upek. Just google Protector Suite, go into the support page, register, then you will be able to get the DMG for the Protector Suite Application. Install it, and then your fingerprint scanner will work.
