Mr_nUUb
Hi! I'm very new to the scene and I am too lazy to search the forum... Now, here's my question: Does Kalyway 10.5.1 work on my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Si 1848 notebook? If something won't run out of the box, what do I need to get it working? The hardware specs: - Intel Core2 Duo T5500 - 2 GB DDR2 RAM (667 MHz) - Intel 945PM chipset - ATi Mobility Radeon X1300 with 256 MB HyperMemory - 80 GB SATA HD (on Intel chipset) - Optiarc AD-7540A DVD writer - Intel PRO/Wireless 3945abg - Intel HD audio (Realtek ALC861) - Realtek RTL8111/8168B gigabit ethernet PS: And what's about the vanilla kernel??? Mr_nUUb
I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 and here's my system: - CPU: properly recognized - Graphics: NATIT recognizes it - SATA and IDE working - no WLAN at the moment - sound is working, but no support for headphones/external speakers - LAN: don't know... I will test it when I can use Leopard When I boot I see a screen full of black and white lines, then the screen goes black and I hear music and the VoiceOver tutorial. I modified com.apple.Boot.plist to support my screen resolution (1280x800x32) and added the PCIID to the ATIRadeonX1000Series.kext/Info.plist. At the moment Leopard isn't usable on my notebook. Please help me. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/99462-fujitsu-siemens-amilo-si-1848/#findComment-716841 Share on other sites

Mr_nUUb
Here's a listing what I did to get graphics working: - start in single user mode (type -s at boot selection) - mount -uw / - ./movevideodrivers (YES, do what you want...) - nano /Backup_Video_Drivers/AtiRadeon_Drivers/ATIRadeonX1000.kext/Contents/Info.plist and add PCIID (0x714A1002) - cp -rf /Backup_Video_Drivers/AtiRadeon_Drivers/ATIRadeonX1000* /System/Library/Extensions/ - reboot Now I have 1024x768x32 on my 1280x800x32 widescreen. The "Graphics Mode"-Setting in com.apple.Boot.plist isn't working for some reason. Is there any way to fix it? EDIT: Now I've got mouse problems. The pointer generates artifacts and hides everytime I click around.
