Problems installing 10.5 on a Toshiba Laptop

Hi there

 

I'm having problems installing Leopard on a Toshiba Laptop.

 

Core Duo

2 Gb Ram

Ati X1400

External USB Drive

 

 

Kalyway (GUID or MBR): Booting from DVD and installation works fine, but freezes after the white startupscreen with a black screen (also on external screen).

 

 

iAtkos (MBR): Doesn't boot at all after installation. External drive isn't recognized. (No change with different setups (Efi-Patch a.s.o.)). Btw: The installationprogressionbar isn't fully loaded when the PC reboots.
