I'm not sure if anyone is uisng Input Remapper as an alternative to KbdMgr becuase of the increases in DPC latency but I certainly am. DPC Latency will affect drop outs with audio interfaces and I've been turning of KbdMgr at boottime to avoid it polling the bus too hard. I've found that InputRemapper is somewhat better at not affecting the DPC latency but I am wondering if it would even be possible to tune it better with the intent of reducing the DPC Latency / polling.

I am using the following tool to test my system.

KbdMgr was running way above 1000us while Input Remapper runs upto 500us. However when no keyboard management system is running I get around 90us. Am wondering if Input Remapper has ever been optomised to improve on this? Is strange becuase the latency seems to cascade up to 500us then drop back to 100us and repeat whereas KbdMgr was less consistant in latency changes.

Input Remapper is also good for live audio performance becuase you can set the min fan speed to keep the laptop as cool as possible.

A fan speed only app would be lovely for us musicians, as the fan speed is persistent , poling wouldnt be needed, so we could get our best latency with cooler cpu.

(Anyway we can always set the fan speed and the quit all the 3 inputremapper instances on task manager, but then if you want to change the speed again you need to reboot, you cant just run the executable again)
