dabomb1188
Is there any way I can load my current native 10.4.3 install into a vmware guest operating system running under windows xp in a different partition so I do not have to create new partitions on my HD just to upgrade my current install? Currently, it seems like i have to completely install a 10.4.3 install under vmware just to upgrade my native install to eventually get to 10.4.5. Am I wrong in thinking this? Any help is appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9915-1043-to-1045-without-creating-new-partitions/ Share on other sites
SMcA
I assume you have the 10.4.4 restore dvd. Grab the patches from the net (you should know where to find them) to make the dvd bootable and you can install 10.4.4 or 10.4.5 natively. You will need 10.4.3 to run the patcher and you will need around 10GB free space on a partition under 10.4.3. And one more thing... make a copy of the /System/Library/Extensions folder to a cd or dvd. You may need them under 10.4.4 or 10.4.5 to get some of your hardware up and running.
