poecpoec
Hi, i've got the kalyway 10.5.1 DVD and installed it. the thing is - leo doesn't boot for some reason. it reboots after few seconds the pc when i choose it from my boot menu. linux and win are booting fine. would be nice if someone could help me. cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/99050-asrock-dual-880propentium-d-boot-problem/ Share on other sites
Reveeen
Personally I am starting to believe that AssRock boards are simply {censored} (I have two computers based on AssRock boards here). I am not familiar with your specific board, but my latest, a P4165G, does not allow SSE3, even with a SSE3 processor installed, and APCI is handled in such a way as to be poison to OsX. AssRock support is of no help. What I would do is download a release (eg:LeoForAllV2) that let's you see the result of the install attempt, as it is attempted, noting any install failures, and maybe try installing as SSE2 only. I am sorry I can't be more help. BTW: even their Wolfdale1333 board takes a {censored} once you update the bios past ver. 1.20, becoming totally unworkable for OsX. poecpoec
well, i got it running - somehow.. i tried after your reply leo4all and installed it but wasn't able to boot it.. same like kalyway today i was bored and tried to boot it up with -s, -x, -v .. nothing worked. kernel panic etc... but after 5th boot with -v IT was there and i didn't change nothing in my bios. i got the registration panel and could set up the clock.. then i needed a hard reboot. after that, i was able to boot the mac. so its running on the asrock 775dual-880pro - somehow i had no lan, no sound. the resolution was 1024x768 instead of 1680x1050 and it freezes all the time for now, i'll stick with my linux till i get some p35 mobo. anyway - i'm happy i got the osx86 running Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/99050-asrock-dual-880propentium-d-boot-problem/#findComment-715809 Share on other sites
