Redliner
Some poor person lost against me on ebay today. I won an Acer travelmate 2400 for $285 shipped! now while it's not an "awesome" laptop... It's chipset is intel 910GML +ICH6-M, Phoenix Bio (latest version will be 2.5)s, ALC665 audio (read somewhere that using AC '97 works perfectly), LAN is RTL8100CL (pretty sure that works!), Synaptics touchpad, Intel GMA 900 graphics (blah...hope it works ok)...wireless will be replaced if it doesn't work...haven't figured out what it is yet. *edit* according to the field manual parts list it may be an Atheros! the laptop main board supposedly allows for a bluetooth module...I will need to investigate it further...I have an Asus USB dongel that I'd be willing to chop open to internalize. it comes with a Celeron M 370, bit i also ordered a Celeron M 530 to replace it with to allow 64 bit and better usability...still really lousy. *edit* I am a moron...it's probably not supported by my motherboard...oh {censored}...I might try unless someone lets me know for sure. I am thinking that Leopard will run...but don't know for sure... any input? also here is the complete manual for it (it say it has bluetooth, but doesn't, also it does not support the mobile pentiums...at least from what I read elsewhere) I hope this works! Redliner
| A1 M206D109 (Dothan) | | A2 M206D210 (Dothan) | | B1 M206D617 (Dothan) | | C0 M206D820 (Dothan) | | B1 M8069545 (Celeron) | I think those are the cupids from the latest bios update...I really doubt the celeron m 530 will work...I can almost be 100% sure now it won't...off to ebay it will go! contrary to the mention of the Dothans I still think that it won't likely support them. any comments on that?
