Cyclic Posted April 11, 2008 Share Posted April 11, 2008 Just thought I'd pass on my experiance with the install. It's up and running - finally. A few points after weeks of trying to get this to work. I tried first with a standard install on a SATA 250 gig drive. It sorta installed albiet V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y (2 hours?) , but then wouldn't boot. Tried numerous things over a day or two. I've come to the conclusion SATA drives don't work. I had a SATA to IDE converter, (ebay - $20) used that, works a treat. So there's a cheap work around for SATA drives! I had also tried the VMware route. Couldn't get it to boot off the DVD. Tried everything. Gave up. Now all up and running... I also have another computer, very similar to the A8N, a MSI K9N MB. Haven't been able to get that to work.....yet.
