Sir-Pimpalot
I burned a copy of Zephyroth and tried to install it but after the Darwin/x86 thing comes up it gets stuck on the grey Apple screen. It doesn't load and the spinning/loading icon doesn't show. It happened with iAtkos 10.5.1 too. Is the problem my computer? I checked the wiki and didn't see any Satellite A215's on the list... Sir-Pimpalot
Post your full specs please... First, boot with -v and read the messages... Toshiba Satellite A215 2.0GHz AMD Turion 64x2 Mobile TL-56 ATI RadeonTM X1200 Atheros Wireless LAN (802.11b/g) 2GB PC5300 DDR2 667MHz SDRAM 160GB HD @5400rpm With -v I got a "Local APIC version not 0x14 as expected" message, though everything else looks normal. (of course I wouldn't really know though) Is that bad?
mac_cute
Ok...And what is the final message?.The install hangs?.What is happening...Describe some others messages...
Sir-Pimpalot
The final message I get with -v is ACPI_SMC_CtrlLoop::initCPUCtrlLoop - pmCPUControl (PMIOCSETPSTATETABLE) returned 0x4304e80 Then it stops and I have to turn the computer off. If I just do things the normal way I get stuck on the Apple logo, and the text is too fast to read. When I start I have this: Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 1918MB memory VESA v3.0 16MB (ATI ATOMBIOS) Use (up and down) keys to select the startup volume. hd(31,0) Leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI Anything wrong there? Also the resolution is 1024x768 instead of 1280x800, but I assume that's a driver problem.
