ednevell Posted April 11, 2008 Share Posted April 11, 2008 Hey gang I got my inspiron 1420 with Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T5500 @ 1666 MHz Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM ) Video Card : Nvidia Corp GeForce 8400M GS Hard Disk : WDC (160 GB) DVD-Rom Drive : PBDS DVD+-RW DS-8W1P ATA Device Chipset : Intel GM965 Network Card : Broadcom Corp NetLink BCM5906M Fast Ethernet PCIe Network Card : Broadcom Corp Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-PCI Card Network Card : Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Operating System : Windows Vista Home Premium Home Edition 6.00.6000 Windows Performance Index : 4.7 I installed a dell 1390 wireless card for the purpose of using OSX86, works good. I can help you if you want to install osx86 but it will not be included. All video works CI and QE work, also sound and wireless/bluetooth. The only problem is shut down does not work properly it will get to the power down and then kernal panic pressing power button seems to work, power on works flawlessly maybe you can figure it out. This laptop is 3 weeks old and will come with all boxes software and a nice targus carry bag.
