paramorefan Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 Hi! I would like to install 10.5.1 onto a USB drive (120GB) and I was wondering this could be done. Using the guide from the wiki: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph..._USB_Hard_Drive and it looks awesome, but it's for 10.4.8. Can 10.5.1 be installed onto a USB hard drive? Also, do I have to create a partion (one MS-DOS and one Mac Os X Journaled?) Because when you don't dual and do a clean install, don't you just erase your hard drive and select that as the installation destination. I thought that maybe you could simply erase the USB drive and select that, or would that cause a problem? Thanks for any help, I am a n00b if you can't tell. Lucas86 Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 I placed the same question here, but without any answer. In past I tried install on USB disk. Just try to select install on USB disk, there must be fat 32 partition, which you format as Mac Os Journaled Extended. It was a Kalyway version. Now I have notebook with Vista and I would like to know, if I can install OSX86 10.5.2 on USB without any intact to my Vista on HDD in notebook, so... Can someone help? Thanks!!!
