InsanelyMike666 Posted April 8, 2008 Share Posted April 8, 2008 I am tired of my recording machine being limited by protools only supporting Windows Xp 32 bit so i have been thinking of building an X86 machine using a server board with dual quads. Has anyone built a machine similer to this because it would suck to drop 1k on building this recording monster to find out my mother board just doesnt work with x86 or that protools just wont work well with x86. Also intel has just anounced that they will be releasing a server board that supports dual 775. Which means i could build this machine with my old core2duo and just pick up another and save a ton of cash, and would prolly only need regular ddr2 ram.
