Corrupted QuartzCore framework

Hello everyone,

Starting this week, I have three (3) new issues:

  • Cannot start MS Word from the dock nor from the applications folder. Word only starts when double clicking on an MS Word existing document.
  • Cannot print from MS Word.
  • Cannot start/execute MacTheRipper

Based on the console.log, the three issues seem to be related, or at least, they have things in common:

PROBLEMS WITH THE QuartzCore Framework

Partial log when starting MS Word:

QuartzCore.framework/Versions/A/QuartzCore

/System/Library/Frameworks/QuartzCore.framework/Versions/A/QuartzCore: mach-o, but wrong architecture

/System/Library/Frameworks/QuartzCore.framework/Versions/A/QuartzCore: mach-o, but wrong architecture)

Generated console.log when starting MacTheRipper

dyld: Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/QuartzCore.framework/Versions/A/QuartzCore

Referenced from: /System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/AppKit

Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:

Generated console.log when printing from MS Word

Referenced from: /System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/AppKit

I have a Mac Pro (2.66 GHz) with 2 GB of RAM, 250 GB of HDD and Tiger (Mac OS X version 10.4.11).

Any feedback will be very helpful.

Thanks from Toronto, Canada.
