Audio in OSX86 WILL NOT work when Speedstep is disabled. Don't ask me why cause i don't know. That's all you need to do. Don't even need to edit AppleAC97Audio.kext. Good luck. The problem is my laptop does not come with a mobile Pentium, therefore I dont have the speedstep option on my bios. Since you have the same card, I know it works under OSX. I really want sound!!! Hope someone can help me... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/978-sigmatel-c-major-audio/#findComment-6071 Share on other sites

Open up terminal to get a command line sudo chown -R /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext if it prompts for a password, for the deadmoo image it is bovinity Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/978-sigmatel-c-major-audio/#findComment-11303 Share on other sites
