I've tried with DVD Player and VLC but both display the same crappy DVD output image. When I watch this on the same machine with Windows the output is just perfect, but under Leopard it shows a lot of fuzziness, graininess and other artifacts that normally should not appear.

With DVD player there's not much to tweak around, so I've tried VLC changing the various video outputs. Quartz crashes the player and OpenGL, which I assume is the default, shows the same artifacts as the Apple DVD Player.

I can try all of the post processing options under VLC but I think the problem stays a little more behind than that.

What this can be? I'm using 10.5.2 with stock NVidia drivers on 8600GT. Everything runs smoothly, but DVDs look indecent...

Any idea?

Thanks!
