I have been at this for two days, but still can't get it running.

I'm running windows vista. This is a clean instal With two partitions.

and in vista (when running a clean install) it looks like this

heres a quick run down of my PC

its a dell, 230Gb HDD (just one), and has more than the required requirment of what is asked. *i have an AMD my leopard disk is patched for AMD

{{{{Partition O XXXMB }}}}

{{{{Partition 2 XXXMB Primary}}}}

Now i follow the instructions that i got from http://coolblog.profit42.com/2007/07/03/up...ual-boot-guide/

Steps 3-5

and when i boot Leopard and try to install

from these instructions

{{{Select your language and when the welcome screen shows up

1. Select Utilities -> Disk Utility

2. Select your partition that you want to be OSX and go to the Erase tab

3. For Volume Format, select Mac OS Extended (Journaled), set volume name as “Leopard“(no quotes, case sensitive)

4. Click Erase. Now the partition should not be grey, it should be black to indicate that it is active.

5. Close out of the Disk Utility and move onwards with installation.

}}}}

i cant move past step 3 because it says that its invalid. only the partition that has vista on it appears as a mounted partition but when i try to mount it or erase the selected partition that i wanted for OSX it says it failed...

Do I need an extra hard drive or can I use the same one Windows is installed on? If it can be on the same one, can it be on the same partition or does it need a different one? (I am using a different partition for osx at the current time)

help?!!!
