I have Firefox 2.0.0.13 installed and if I leave the application open for a few hours it will quit unexpectedly. I have MSN Messenger 6.0.3 installed and it does the same thing as Firefox. If either application is running only in the dock for an extended period of time (say overnight) it will cause OS X to crash and reboot itself. What would cause this? More importantly how does one go about fixing this problem? All needed info should be in sig... if more is needed please ask. barrist Posted July 23, 2008 Share Posted July 23, 2008 sorry to dig up an old thread, but i seemt o have the same type of problem. i'm on 10.5.2 kalyway updated to 10.5.4 with 9.4 modbin and system.kext. AMD 3800+ X2, Abit NF-M2 Latest versions of Firefox and Messenger seem to crash when left on for a time. (I.e, would leave my computer overnight to find the "this program has crashed unexpectedly" message in the morning. Any ideas? Other than that, system seems to run fairly smoothly.
