Well as you can see I'm still a bit of a noob to all of this myself, but one thing I would say is that I don't think it's anything to do with your CS3 installation; I've been having the same problem since I first installed Leopard. For what it's worth, you might want to look into replacing your SMBIOS kext, I believe all the ATM and System Profiler info is linked to that, but I'm going to have a look around myself and hopefully I'll be able to give you something more concrete soon =]

1. Did you install the applesmbios in the torrent because cs3 activation didn't work?

2. Does it only kernel panic after you've installed the applesmbios?

3. Did you back up the original applesmbios?

4. If it's included with a torrent and its from pre-Leopard times, it's probably not a Leopard kext.

 

You could boot with the installation DVD and attempt to put the original applesmbios back.
