Upgraded Processor to Q6600

So I upgraded my processor from a 1.8ghz Core 2 Duo a buddy was lending me to a Q6600 2.4Ghz.

 

My questions is that now when I go into system profiler, it says 2.4Ghz unknown. Does that mean it won't use all four cores because it doesn't know they're there? Do I need to reinstall OS X or is there a Kext I can edit to fix this?
