aaquib
I got it to install, but when I get to the final screen where it asks me to restart, what do I do? I restarted it, tried booting from the external HDD and it just took me back to Windows. ANY IDEAS? djfost
Hi there, i've had similar problems. It's most probably because the external HDD is not mounted and can therefore not be seen by the BIOS in the boot sequence. Firstly, check to see if the BIOS is set to boot from the external HDD. If so, boot into windows (with the HDD plugged in), then restart the machine (not shutdown, then start again, but restart If this still doesn't work, try installing a program such as Acronis OS Selector to choose what OS to boot into when you start the computer. Hope this helps. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/97128-installing-leopard-on-an-external-hdd-how/#findComment-693614 Share on other sites
aaquib
How do I check that the Bios is set to boot? I just pressed F12 at startup and told it to boot to the hard drive.Ok, I installed the OS selector, what do I do now? I so desperately want this!
