Hi!

I have read around the forums a lot the last month and feel I'm finally ready for taking the step of buying a hackintosh.. I have never built a hackintosh before, but am really looking forward to this project  Osx is already my home, but my machine is currently a 4 year old Powerbook, so I could really use some new hardware!

The hackintosh is going to be connected to a tv (a Toshiba 32A3000P) through hdmi and be used as a HTPC, but also a workhorse.. But as I'm currently being a student I don't have a lot of money so I hope to get as much bang for buck as possible! The setup I have come up with is this:

ANTEC Sonata III Miditower, Svart m/500W PSU (0761345-08142-9)

INTEL Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz Socket LGA775, 8MB, BOXED m/vifte (BX80562Q6600)

GIGABYTE Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P, P35, Socket-775, ATX, GbLAN, DDR2, 1333FSB, 2xPCI-Ex16 (GA-P35-DS3P)

XFX GeForce 8800GT 600M 256MB Graphics Card

PCIe 2.0, GDDR3, 2xDVI/HDTV/HDCP

2x SAMSUNG SpinPoint T166 500GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM (HD501LJ)

CORSAIR TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5, Kit w/two matched CM2X2048-6400 Dimm's (TWIN2X4096-6400C5 G)

SAMSUNG DVD Recorder 20x +R/+RW -R/-RW Lightscribe SATA Black Bulk With Vista comp. SW (SH-S203P/BEBN)

D-LINK D-Link Bluetooth USB Dongle, Bluetooth v1.2 Class II (10m) (DBT-122)

OEM HDMI cable HDMI - DVI-D HQ 2 m. High Quality, gold plated (AK639-2-HQ)

This brings me to a total of 6600 Norwegian Kroner (about 1250$ with todays currency)..

What do you thin about this setup? Will the hardware work smoothly? I have considered buying the GA-P35-DS4-motherboard instead, but it doesn't seem to be worth the extra money..or? Will the dvd-drive work? Will the bluetooth adapter work (I need it for my apple keyboard)? Is this the absolute bang for buck setup or do you think I should change something?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
