YahoKa
So if I want to add a memory stick to an iBook G4 1.33GHz (takes DDR 333 IIRC), what are peoples opinions on adding ram bought from the apple store vs. some other brand. Any problems/issues? Basically if I wanted to spend the least amount of money, but quality was the most important issue. In a PC I wouldn't be afraid to just get some name brand ram from the local store and toss it in, but I am completely new to macs, this would be the first time I ever touch mac hardware. cyrana
Hello there, welcome to the forums. If you aren't completely sure, I always recommend Crucial (http://www.crucial.com). (Provided you're in the US anyway) They have a nice configurator on their site to make sure you pick the right one, and the memory is high-quality. It does run more than super cheap brands, but it isn't overpriced I think. You won't have any issues with their RAM in your Apple.
