10.4.1 hangs at startup

Hangs at startup. Running 10.4.1 deadmoo copy.

 

In verbose mode it stops at display vga [e0000000:08000000]

 

HARDWARE:

p4 2.8 ghz

ga-8vd667k

Onboard intel extreme graphics 82845G

 

 

Any help/kick in the right direct would be very much appreciated

10.4.1 was a beta release of mac os x on intel. its horribly old, slow, buggy and practically unusable.

 

grab yourself a copy of JaS 10.4.8 or maybe a Leo4All disc.

i have this problem too, display: v ram [e0000000:08000000] this is the only version that doesn't give me (unable to find drivers for this platform acpi)

 

if somebody now the solution please reply

Give the "XxX_OS_x86_10.4.11_Install_Disc_Intel, rev 1.0" a try, I have had success in using it on really old SDRAM 845 boards, and for best results, with an AGP slot, pick up a FX5200 video card (under $50).

Give us some specs., you might need to upgrade your bios to get your ACPI compliant, that said, there are some boards that will never be compliant, and without this compliance it "ain't ever gonna work right".
