TinTim
I am using the method explained here, precisely following these steps: http://maconpc.distinctlyjordan.com/2008/0...xp-and-leopard/ The ISO I am using is the: KALYWAY_LEO_10.5.1intel_SSE2_SSE3 The disk image I burned on a DVD-R, using OSX disk utility, I already got Leo up and running with the same DVD and same method on my desktop PC. My MSI laptop is a: Megabook M510C American Megtrends BIOS, v. 2.56 intel Pentium M 1,7GHz (SSE2 compatible) Chipset: Intel 855PM/ICH4-M 1 GB RAM ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 60GB Hitatchi hard drive ..and I do not have any PCMCIA card installed. (more specs here: http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=pr...p;cat3_no=#menu ) I tryed installing with every combination of: vanilla or not vanilla, SSE2 or not SSE2 and ATI drivers or no-ATI drivers. Every time, the install completes succesfully, but my laptop refuses to boot into Leo. Booting with both the -v and -x option reveals that the boot halts at: ' localhost kextd[9]: IOKitWaitQuiet() timed out waiting to write kernel symbols localhost mdworker[72]: (Error) SyncInfo: Boot-cache avoidance timed out ! localhost configd[31]: InterfaceNamer: timed out waiting for IOKit to quiesce ' (see also attatched 'screenshot' of where my laptop halts) All help very much apreciated. Cheers! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96762-msi-megabook-m510c-installs-leo-but-will-not-boot/ Share on other sites
nerfdooker
Hey dude, I installed Leo 4allv3 and i am getting the EXACT same sting of errors when I try to start it up. I've been googling it and the only thing I've been able to come up with is that ms worker is the spotlight (search) indexing thing, and that error is pretty major. I've got completly different hardware than you, but I'm pretty sure we have the same problem. Could some one please help us!!!!!!!!!!!!!
