Jamezes
I just installed OSX 10.4.3 and its working great for the most part. One thing that has ben bugging me (and I see that it has been posted various times before) is the locked resolution at 1024x768. I have searched this forum and googled it and found that I should modify my com.apple.Boot.plist from the guide here: http://www.profit42.com/guides.php?id=2 It seemed like this method worked for other people but for me, it changed my resolution but my screen was like 256 colours in grayscale. My text was hardly readable! I have an Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 420 and I need 1280x1024x32. I heard that other people said something about increasing the memory in their BIOS. How do I do this? Sorry, I'm quite newb System specs: HP Pavilion 762c Mainboard: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD MS-6579 Processor: Intel P4 2.67GHz (Supports SSE2 only and PAE. No XD) RAM: 512MB UPDATE: Although it looked like {censored} on my monitor at 1280x1024x32, I took a screenshot and when I went back to 1024x768, the screenshot was at 256 colours. I'm really confused now.... See Screenshot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9675-1043-resolution-problem/ Share on other sites
