SlimosX
Ok here we go I ve been doing this for several months now and I'm getting closer every time. I bought a Sata DvD since people advised me here to do this as my 1st priority with my MB I did the following as advised by Megavolkan: Pre install /com.apple.Boot.plist not found -> Remove all IDE components. HDDs and Optics too. If one presents then you'll see the above error Pre install EBIOS Read Error -> Burn image again at lowest speed possible (seems very odd but that is the façt) Pre install 'Still waiting for root device' -> Disable LAN Option ROM from BIOS somewhere (integrated peripherals it should be) After all this ok it boots up but I cant get after the apple Logo I tried to leave it for hours but nothing Please help Thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96706-msi-neo-965-cant-get-beyond-the-apple-logo/ Share on other sites
megavolkan
you should start up with verbose mode and see what error message is displayed. You can do this by typing -v at Darwin boot prompt. It should be pressing F8 or Enter according to the message before the count down runs out. Then return the results back to us. SlimosX
Ok I figured out I have 2 HDDs One 160 GB formatted in NTFS and empty and the other one has 2 partitions and is 250 GB big and has Windows xp on it I managed to get into the installer only when i pluged the Sata cable into the 250 HDD that contains windows xp and below are the 2 images of both drivers when conencted This is really strage cauz it boots but when I go to Disk utility I cant see the drive at all there is only the DvD-rom, this is maybe because I connected the HDD to the Jmcrn controller cuaz otehr then that the MB gives me NTDLR is missing please restart and I cant even boot from the DVD Link to images with both HDDs http://s2d1.turboimagehost.com/upload.tu Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96706-msi-neo-965-cant-get-beyond-the-apple-logo/#findComment-690861 Share on other sites

wmarsh
Your Pics don't show up. But your problem sounds remarkably like the trouble I had installing on my E520. Your southbridge is ICH8 and mine is ICH8R. So the same fix -- modifying device ids in AppleAHCIPort.kext -- might work. I ended up copying the install DVD to a USB HDD and modifying it to support my chipset. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...rt=#entry511010 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96706-msi-neo-965-cant-get-beyond-the-apple-logo/#findComment-691145 Share on other sites
