apreichner
Alright so I recently finished installing OS X Leopard on my system. (AMD Athlon 64, ASUS A8n5x nForce4Motherboard) And the first thing I noticed was my graphics card was only getting 1024x768 resolution. So I thought no big deal and found the nvinkjet 256mb graphics drivers for my NVidia 7600gs card. I went through a standard installation and I came back to OS X starting to boot up and then the background turns a light blue and I see a black cursor but nothing else appears, no Finder bar or Dock or icons, but from the mouse pointer it looks to be at the right resolution (1440x900). So I decided to go back and try editing the kexts with my device id, still no go. However, as soon as I delete all of the Nvidia kexts added by the install, my desktop works again with only 1024x768. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96622-graphics-card-trouble/ Share on other sites
apreichner
Okay fixed the problem using the Universal NVidia installer instead of NVInkjet! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96622-graphics-card-trouble/#findComment-689977 Share on other sites
