OSX86 10.5.1 Boots every other time

Hi I was wondering if some one can help here.

 

I am running Kalyway 10.5.1 on Compaq nw8240. The system is fairly stable but seems to only want to boot every other time if I shut down properly. It does not spin the hard drive at all.

 

In Verbose mode I get the following:

 

MAC Framework successfully initialized

using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers

IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 0:23

 

 

 

then it stops there and the hard drive does not spin. Any thoughts?
