iNoob
The issue first was: Computers kep disappearing after time from the Finder, then I used the 10.4.7 SMB fix and I couldn't connect to any computer, then I used the IONetworkingFamily TM Fix and it is working again, albeit slow. How can I make everything work 100%? The computer is the laptop in my signature and it is running 10.5.2. frizbot
Talk more about your setup. OS X has always been a poor SMB client, IMO. I can talk about how to speed up OS X as a server. One quick trick would be to set delayed ack to zero. It's something like the command "sudo sysctl -w ip.tcp.something.delayed_ack=0". This is from memory, so look up the delayed_ack entry using "sysctl -a" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96272-smb-shares-are-too-slow/#findComment-687216 Share on other sites
iNoob
OK thanks but I had my two OSX installs [censored]. One is a Sempron computer which can't boot with PC_EFI, causing instant reboots, and the other in a laptop with PC_EFI says infinitely that it can't load mDNSResponder. What should I do now? EDIT: Reinstall. At least iATKOS allows me to "reinstall" without formatting.
