Fix the Mac OS X 'Installer'

Hey everyone,

 

Long time I haven't been around here, been back at school, so my attention to Mac OS X x86 has not been as consistent as I would like it be. Hope everyone is well. Anyway, I am still having problems with a issue from last year, its the OS X installer.

 

I just updated my 10.4.5 Myzar installation to 10.4.8 Delta (Jas). One problem, the Mac OS X installer keeps quitting. Is anybody out there aware of a way to fix this? I have tried all that I know:

 

Verify Disk permissions does not fix it. I am trying to update to 10.4.9 but this one issue is preventing me so far. I have tried using Terminal and Pacifist to install, but no luck. Would greatly appreciate some help on this.
