Audio NIGHTMARE: featuring THE GREY SCREEN OF DEATH

I have a Toshiba Qosmio G25 with Leo Kalyway 10.5.1

I have found out how to make the sound work but there is a problem. To make it work I simple change the BIOS settings. I change the "Set Device Config" to "All Devices" instead of the original option "OS Setup." However, when I do this I continually get random grey screens of death asking me to continuously reboot. Is there something else I have to change in the BIOS settings to stop this from happening? Or is there a certain kext I have to try? I did try the AC97audio.kext with no success.

Sorry, forgot about that in the heat of the moment

To save people some time, that was-

Description: SoundMAX Digital Audio

Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_266E&SUBSYS_02531179&REV_03

That vendor is Intel, but I'm not sure about the DEV ID. I didn't know Intel made soundchips. You'll have to research to find the sound chip version.

You can always use USB audio. I prefer it on OSX86. I'd rather have PCI, but USB never has issues.
