It gives me an error that states "boot.com.apple.plist not found" (or something like that.) I was thinking it was because I was using a DVD-R that's SATA, but I don't think that's it anymore. Coadey
That tricked me too the first time. You actually have to hit F8 and select "Kalyway" when prompted. slax0r
Well, I didn't see a 'Kalyway' option, but I hit F8 and tried booting into verbose mode and apparently that did the trick. I'm in the middle of installation right now. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/95962-kalyway-1051-wont-boot/#findComment-688221 Share on other sites
slax0r
Okay. I got it installed, although I have no sound or ethernet yet. I had the 'please restart' error until I deleted the ktexts related to nvidia, ati, and geforce. Any advice on getting sound and internet working? Edit: Okay, got audio working. Just need to get ethernet working. Anyone know what the driver is for my mobo? Edit2: Hooray, ethernet. Sneaky wake-on-lan. Probably talking to myself at this point, but this is pretty cool.
