fjs
The simple setup I am using has a 945 chipset and a NVidia 7300GT 256MB graphics card, 0x0353 (Asus). Kalyway 10.5.1 installs and runs fine on my hardware, with no graphics problems, butupdating to 10.5.2 following Netkas/Devin instructions produces an installation which has the black screen and 2 cursors, unless I Safe Boot. I have all upgrades installed, but am using the Netkas 9.2.0 non-speedstep kernel.1. Regressing to 10.5.1 NVidia extensions fails2. Natit fails to solve, but loads fine.3. NVInject in several versions loads fine, but fails to solve.4. I get NV??HAL40?? loading, but with display specific matching failing. The boot does not progress to completion, but this may be due to something else.5. Thanks.I should explain that 4 above results from using the gfx-string approach. Krazubu
Your device ID is probably missing in the new kexts. Anyway, you'd better remove the string by the time you fix the problem.
