Invader J
Does anybody have a way to boot OS X when you have 2 HFS+ (type AF) partitions on one disk? My 10.4.1 has been working fine - I'm trying to get 10.4.4 set up on another partition. But as soon as that other partition is turned into type AF for formatting under 10.4.1, 10.4.1 hangs at nfs_boot searching. From what I've read on this and other forums, turns out that it found another AF-type disk and panics because it doesn't know that it should continue to boot off of itself. It's driving me a bit crazy... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9560-boot-with-2af-partitions/ Share on other sites
Invader J
Huh. Doesn't seem to wanna boot when that partition's type is set to F8 either (done via Ubuntu)... when I reformat the partition as NTFS it works fine. Invader J
Argh, nothing works. Whenever I turn that third partition into an AF partition, 10.4.1 crashes at that same point. Anyone know if there's a way to force OS X to just pay attention to its own partition?
