jhoussock Posted March 24, 2008 Share Posted March 24, 2008 i have a sony vaio with vista and leopard in a dual boot...everythings working great but the fan seems to be running all the time i downloaded a cpu guage for dashboard and it stays below 10% at almost all times is there any chance that my computer is actually overheating and can this fan running harm my computer? Coadey Posted March 25, 2008 Share Posted March 25, 2008 Laptops rely on a driver to regulate fan speed. Without it (as in osx86), the hardware usually defaults to full-speed fan.
