chayss Posted March 24, 2008 Share Posted March 24, 2008 I have Kalyway 10.5.2 installed and I installed a couple of updates today: Airport update, Time machine update, safari update, QuickTime update, GarageBand update, and aperture update. Now when I try to boot it just keeps shutting down and trying to reboot and just keeps doing this. Nothing comes up at all. My guess is it was the time machine update that did it. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it? The main thing is all of my stuff is on it and I have no way of getting to it. konnic Posted March 24, 2008 Share Posted March 24, 2008 I've just have the same problem on before, boot with the installation DVD, open the terminal and copy the mach_kernel will solve it out. Mattk Posted March 24, 2008 Share Posted March 24, 2008 your screwed buddy happened to me they snuck a kernel in the time machine update which screwed your bootloader just boot off kaly cd and restore from backup! or you have to reinstall.
