lwilliams1950
I am on step 5 of the following install instructions in my 10.4.3 Mac Osx and it says "create a spare partition"..I can't figure out how to do that from my Mac Osx desktop because the partition would be on the same drive my Mac Osx is on now. I don't want to destroy the install I already have.. Here is the post http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=9472 Please tell me how to do that. Thanks Leon Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9536-create-a-spare-partition-from-mac-osx/ Share on other sites

Mac OSX Coder
Kinda off topic, but how long did install take? Safest bet at this point would be to create a partition first and then install. jihuiwen
i know that if you want to repartition a startup disk on a real mac, you should boot from the backup cd by pressing "C" and then run disk utility or something. but i dont know if it will spoil the darwin boot loader. i think i might give it a try Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9536-create-a-spare-partition-from-mac-osx/#findComment-61360 Share on other sites
