mojo2317
Hi there all, while I'm waiting around for apple to release an X86 based headless machine, I decided to have a go at putting OSx86 on my Iwill zMAXdp computer (dual opteron). It is booting off an ATA harddrive, has an AGP based ATI radeon AIW X800 XT, and I have an intel GB network card I'll plug in, once I can get it to boot. (as in, I am fairly aware of the limitations on the chipset..) I have had great luck running things in VMware, but no luck booting natively.. I tried the patched 10.4.3 version, and it simply hung on boot (& no errors when booted w/ -v) with 10.4.4, I can see some errors now: (this is with the SSE2 & AMD patched kernel) I get a bunch of repeated errors including: kld_load_from_memory() failed for module com.apple.NVDAResman Failed to load extension com.apple.GeForce. Couldn't alloc class "NVKernel" repeated at me lots. I followed the instructions for 10.4.4 pretty well (like I said, works like a champ in VMware) I've not really seen any info on the web, either here or other locations.. Thoughts? TIA, MoJo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9534-zmaxdp-problems-nforce3-250/ Share on other sites
